She reads a lot (anything from science fiction to pulp fiction, but favourites remain Flaubert's Parrot, The English Patient, anything by Jonathan Franzen). She listens to music (quelle surprise, right?) and it can be The National or Arcade Fire or Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave or Verdi or Eric Clapton or Miles Davis. She’s addicted to the sun, loves the Mediterranean heat but learnt to respect and admire the stern, quiet beauty of a rocky beach under a grey sky. She loves the city hustle and bustle, the endless stream of different people and like to sometimes imagine the many fangled stories they carry with them, but she feels equally at home in the perfect quietness of a small village. She likes long walks, golden retrievers, allowing yourself to be silly. She likes the tiredness that comes after a day of walking through the woods. She likes the feeling of being on the road and she truly believes in the old adage that puts the journey above the destination.
